Innovative Production Services provided the lighting and sound production for a MySpace Secret Show featuring Florence and the Machine’s first ever Australian gig.

The venue, Paddington Uniting Church, played host to an ever appreciative crowd who were lining up well before the event.

The acoustics and characteristics of the room provided a challenge for the touring crew and engineers for Florence, but they were made to feel more at home with the Turbosound Floodlight sound system which they had all used many times back home in the UK.

Previously the band had been touring in Europe with an Allen & Heath iLive system, and they were delighted to see Innovative’s new T112 iLive sitting at FOH. After loading their show from the USB stick, performing some simple reconfiguration and patching, all the settings for the channels, FX, IEMs, mixes, etc were ready to go…just like that!

The lighting system was all about simplicity and beauty. The system was designed and operated by Jeremy Koch who used a JANDS Vista S3 on this particular occasion. The rig featured Martin MAC250 Entours, Martin Stage Bar 54Ls and ETC Source Four profiles. Jeremy loves the Stage Bars as they offer a very different light to any other LED product on the market. From pastels to rich saturated colours to pure white, the Stage Bars really do allow you to ‘light’ a stage and its artists!
