About the Event:
Diamonds are forever Gala ball is an annual charity event held to raise money for Dr Charlie Teo’s Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. The foundation is the leading organisation for brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness in Australia that relies heavily on producing exceptional events to raise much needed funds. This is our third year running of supporting and supplying all technical production and designed for the event to raise awareness and entice guests to dig deep to raise as much money as possible.
The guests were entertained by some amazing performances by: Boys in the Band, Leo Sayer, Emma Pask, and 100% Kylie.
Key highlights of event:
We designed a custom 12m wide borderless screen that covered the entire stage. The screen then split into 2 and travelled to the outside edges of the room on our rolling BOMAC track, revealing the stage seamlessly. The 2 screens then turned into IMAG screens for the stage performances, and then closed again for band change overs. The system worked perfectly and is a great way to reveal a stage. Our BOMAC rolling rigging system can travel 500kg per point along a track, which makes it very easy to create moving sets, projection or LED screens, signage, and flying props.
It was a very big job for Innovative which was designed from the ground up with all the technical aspects; Lighting, Audio, Vision, Staging, Rigging, all working together to get the most out of the technical design.
The event raised a whopping $1.2 million for Brain Cancer Research which is just astonishing.
Dr Charlie Teo is our hero and we look forward to this event every year.
